|Permanent Collection Exhibitions|
Thematic exhibitions will be organized featuring works from the permanent collection, and these exhibitions will be augmented with works borrowed from the collection of The Museum of Modern Art, Gunma.
Temporary exhibitions will be organized to provide museum visitors with opportunities to see works of art from many different times and places, including modern and contemporary art from Japan and other countries.
Joint exhibitions will be presented in collaboration with The Museum of Modern Art, Gunma,
taking advantage of its 30 years of experience, in order to provide a more varied exhibition program, including exhibitions of art associated with Gunma prefecture.
An effort will be made to plan exhibitions aimed at people who are unfamiliar with art,
especially children, and present it in a way that makes it easier to understand.
|Education and Public Programs|
The museum will present special events, programs, and lectures that help the public better understand the art that appears in museum exhibitions and give them with a more vivid and intimate experience of art. Events will be organized for people of all ages. A "Friends of the Museum" organization and other volunteer activities will be established in order to give interested people opportunities to expand and apply their knowledge of art and become more actively involved with the museum. Also, the museum will work together with schools to create effective art appreciation programs for children.
